The City of Melbourne's Melbourne Renewable Energy Project and the Victorian Energy Collaboration (VECO) demonstrate the economic and environmental advantages of aggregated energy purchasing.

Adapting these sample principles for private sector participation, the Business Renewables Buying Group (BRBG) gave participating businesses access to cost stability, lower emissions and stronger energy market engagement.

HIP V. HYPE was engaged by the City of Yarra, on behalf of participating councils, to evaluate the impact of the past three years of the BRBG and unpack lessons, successes, challenges and barriers.
