Cremorne Zero at 20 Cremorne Street is seeking to set a new standard in sustainable office design; an exemplar of low-carbon, energy positive, climate resilient design within Australia.
Working with ClarkeHopkinsClarke, HIP V. HYPE performed extensive thermal and energy modelling to optimise passive design opportunities and maximise onsite renewable generation to enable an authentic Zero Carbon outcome.

Sustainability
The Cremorne Zero project will demonstrate exceptional sustainability outcomes, significantly exceeding the requirements of local building code standards and the requirements of Yarra City Council. The Project draws upon several frameworks — including the Passivhaus Standard — to demonstrate high sustainability outcomes. It aims for net-zero embodied carbon and net-positive operational energy, utilising significant building facade and rooftop integrated solar systems.
- Zero Carbon analysis
- Passivhaus feasibility
- Energy modelling
- Daylight modelling
- Town planning reporting
- Services options analysis
- Onsite storage analysis
- Zero upfront carbon
- Zero operational carbon
- Passivhaus target
- Highly energy-efficient
