With the impacts of climate change increasingly apparent, local governments must consider strategies to protect their assets and operations from climate related risk.

HIP V. HYPE was engaged by Macedon Ranges Shire Council to undertake a climate risk assessment, identifying the threats and opportunities posed by a changing climate.

Context

The Assessment and Risk Mitigation Plan will support Council to future proof their operations, services and decision-making processes, of benefit to both Council and their community.

This project represents a fundamental step towards embedding effective climate risk management and adaptation planning in the Shire and has the opportunity to provide a firm foundation for future Council projects and investment.
